Oh boy. What a Monday morning. I’m still buzzing from last night. So much happened. But most importantly, I made a total fool of myself on WWHL. If you recall, last fall I was on the show and I made Tamra cry. My call was even featured on a People.com article. Well I decided to try again last night and I must have some good Bravo karma because I’m 2 for 2 on getting through!
For those who live under rocks, last night was the season 6 premiere of “Game of Thrones”. I GEEK out over this show. It is the best on TV. Waiting 9 months for new episodes is equatable to being tortured by Ramsey. And what’s fun about this season is that we are past the books so when anything major happens we are all like:
This is huge because I haven’t read the books (which is unusual for me – I like to read books before the movie/show comes out) and when anyone dies, all the book readers are like “I totally knew that was going to happen” and my eyes roll out of my head. But now we are all on a level playing field.
Anyway, even though I was exhausted and schleppy, I went over to my good friend Jessa’s house for the watch party with her husband Jason and her friend Melissa. This is a new tradition we started last year. We got a late start and drank a little/lot of wine waiting to start the show and also during the show. A couple notes: the episode was AMAZING. There was one part where we all cheered and clapped. No spoilers though. When the credits rolled, I finally dared to look at social media. *Side note – last year the playoffs were on during GoT Sundays and sometimes your have to prioritize (last night, we didn’t care because Cavs were up 3-0 against the Pistons) and when Jon Snow died, people immediately posted it on FB and I think we all need to have a little lesson on spoiler etiquette. Take that convo to Twitter or talk to a close circle through texts. It 100% sucks when your favorite show is spoiled. End of side note.* So I see on FB that Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is on “Watch What Happens Live” so we obviously immediately switch it because he is SO SEXY. I decide to dial in and see if I could ask a question. And because of my Bravo karma, I got through. My ORIGINAL question was “Shag, Marry, Kill: Margaery, Cersai or Daenerys” but unfortunately, Andy was already going to play that game with him, so we decided on another question. They then put you on hold and you have to wait for Andy to come on and then you start talking. Well nerves, wine and excitement got in the way, and my call was kind of a disaster. Watch the whole thing here:
What is worse? That I didn’t realize Andy was talking to me, that I said Chagrin Falls and failed to mention Ohio or that I said “PARDON?” to Jamie Lannister? It was a bit of a hot mess of a call and I’m kind of convinced that Andy might have my number blocked. But whatever, the best way to kick off a week is chatting with Jaime Lannister…so sexy. And P.S. what a week it is… happy wedding week to my best friend Cat and her lovely fiancé, Dusko!!!!Tagged with: Andy Cohen • Bravo • Game of Thrones • Nikolaj Coster-Waldau • WWHL
