The Golden Globes 2026: The Worst
I imagine it can be very difficult to nail a look and sometimes you think you did but then someone sitting at home behind a computer is not into it, and that person is me.
The Golden Globes – The Worst
A reminder that this is my little fashion opinion as I sit in an Aerie sweater, but it's part and parcel in being a star, honey. We aren't going to like it all!
Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton

Emma Stone is suffering from the Jennifer Lawrence designer blood oath. Where it feels like they’re so tied to their designer cash cow that they’ve run out of ideas? It starts great! Her hair grow out is CUTE, the side cutouts are interesting, the color works well then BAM, low rise skirt. I adamantly rebuke the return of ANYTHING low rise.
Jessie Buckley in Dior

I really want to see Hamnet and I really want to like this dress. Both of things have yet to happen. Is it the matching shoes? The 80s bridesmaid embroidery? The way it was so wrinkled by the time she got up to accept her award that it was distracting? Hard to say. However, I really like her acceptance speeches so let’s hope she just steps it up for the SAGs.
Jennifer Lawrence in Givenchy

I don’t want to hear it – we are NOT bringing back sheer dresses. I don’t care if you have a banging body after 2 kids that you want to show off. Go to the beach and call the paps. I can’t believe the same Sarah Burton who designed Kate’s wedding dress designed this. What I AM here for is JLaw being back on the scene. I usually love her work and she IS funny!
JLo in vintage Jean-Louis Scherrer

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
Jenna Ortega in Dilara Findikoglu

I love Jenna and I LOVE Wednesday. It’s such a fun, creepy watch. But I hate this dress! She definitely has a unique style that I respect and consider. But the shoulder work AND the cutouts are a bridge too far for me.
Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas in Loewe

Inga, for those who don’t know, starred in Sentimental Value and was nominated last night. And I believe I’m starting to feel out the new regime at Loewe and not sure I’m very invested at the moment! This dress really doesn’t do much for her, which bums me out because she definitely has the face card for an epic look! And she was nominated! She should look like a STAR.
Chloe Zhao in Rochas

Tailoring and steaming matters, my friends. It matters. (As someone who hates to iron/steam but I’m not on red carpets!)
Priyanka Chopra in Dior

She looked amazing at the after party and I’m curious where is her “get a grip” friend to say NO to this dress. I’ve been in 8 weddings and no one ever put me in a dress that bad.
Aimee Lou Woods in Vivienne Westwood

Not the success that Ariana’s Westwood is, that’s for sure. Feels like an 1800s widow roaming a misty meadow. But she was truly fantastic in The White Lotus. It was my least favorite season, but her storyline with Walton Goggins was fascinating. I’m excited for her career to bloom!
Justine Lupe in vintage Armani Privé

I received a text that said something like “besides the areola, it’s a great dress”. I can’t get past the areola, I’m sorry!
Amy Poehler in Ami Paris

This is not great. I’m sorry, Amy, but it isn’t. What is great – that you won against a bunch of men (including your ex-husband) and your podcast – also great. Your speech, per usual – HILARIOUS. Your Jeremy Strong joke, LOLZ. Always nominate Amy, please!
